About Real Time Training Group
Real Time Training Group (RTTG) was established in 2003 to address the challenges faced by the long term unemployed and to provide support in getting them back into work through personal training and skills development schemes.
Additionally, RTTG also specialises in providing businesses with tangible solutions and benefits through work-based learning, with the aim to increase its productivity, profitability and reduce waste. Its services include a detailed analysis at company and individual level, together with a range of training and development solutions to address identified needs.
The challenge
With such a large and diverse range of clients, RTTG faces many challenges to maintain its reputation as a leading supplier of work based learning. However, with learning being delivered on and off site, across many platforms including commercial training, NVQ’s and apprenticeships, one challenge that was consistent across all sectors was the problem of monitoring learner attendance and progression and keeping all records up-to-date.
In keeping with its company mission of providing world-class solutions, RTTG needed to be able to move away from the traditional monitoring systems it was offering its clients in exchange for a flexible, easy to use, accurate and above all, effective alternative.
The solution
The solution presented itself in the form of Perspective’s Sunesis, a fully integrated SaaS based solution to managing all aspects of BTEC apprenticeships and other forms of employer responsive provision, including learner monitoring, funding, framework building, relationship management and real-time data sharing, all from a single platform.
With a simple click of a button, Sunesis enables training providers to manage apprentices through effective learner-centric tracking of progression against qualifications, frameworks and milestones. Sunesis uses unique access controls giving real-time, secure views of a learner’s progress to all key operators, i.e. managers, trainers, assessors, verifiers, employers and the apprentices themselves, providing appropriate levels of visability to all of the critical phases of each apprentices’ progress, allowing any ‘red-flag’ areas, such as a sudden drop in performance or attendance, to be dealt with before they become problematic.
Additionally, with the option of being fully integrated with existing MI systems through the use of the System Interoperability Framework (SIF), Sunesis can ensure that data is entered only once into one central application and then automatically propagated to other applications, saving the user time, money and providing access to consistently up-to-date data – a primary problem faced when offering multi-site learning platforms.
The results
Working closely with Perspective, RTTG was able to offer its clients bespoke versions of Sunesis depending on their direct needs, requirements and funding situation which resulted in the ability to exceed client expectations in yet another element of its business.
Businesses utilising Sunises noticed an immediate improvement in apprentice performance and success rates through the accuracy and immediacy of the data available and the ability to compress ‘red-flag’ situations before they became a real cause for concern. Complying with new and ever changing governmental regulations as well as ensuring full funding entitlement was received, was also made a more simple task subsequent to the deployment of Sunesis.
