The Stafford Partnership
Following the implementation of the new 14-19 diplomas, it quickly appeared that many of the learners sent to Stafford College were not appropriate for the curriculum being offered. To successfully deliver the new programme, the monitoring of learner progress had to be more effective to ensure that students where being taught at a suitable level. Barnsley Local Authority
As with many partnerships, Barnsley providers traditionally tracked the progression of their learners manually using paper-based registers or spreadsheets but, with collaborative provision expanding and a huge interest in the new 14-16 Diplomas, off-site learning was becoming common place and monitoring learners and keeping records up-to-date was becoming much more time consuming and bureaucratic.
