SIF: How It Works
The SIF Association has defined and implemented a set of rules and definitions that enable different Information Management platforms to share data, thereby removing the need for every element of a system to understand and cater-for an infinite number of unique rule-sets in order to communicate effectively with other applications.
Through SIF, software application agents communicate with each other through a central communication point.
Data travels between applications as a series of standardised messages, queries, and events written in XML and securely sent using Internet protocols
